Innovation / Environment:
. PSA Peugeot Citroën unveils two HDi diesel hybrid demonstration vehicles, the 307 and C4, consuming 3.4 l/km, planned for launch in 2010. . The Group presents its GENEPAC fuel cell, developed in partnership with the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) exclusively for automobiles, and opens a research unit at its Carrières sous Poissy research centre. . The 1.6 l THP (turbo high pressure) engine, the first product issuing from the cooperation agreement with BMW, is a concentrate of high-end technologies, with maximum power of 110 kW (150 bhp). This new family of high-performance petrol engines is manufactured at the Française de Mécanique. . Following the C3, the C2 is fitted with Stop & Start technology, which cuts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 10% in an urban cycle. At a halt, the vehicle is totally silent. . In 2006, for the second year running, PSA Peugeot Citroën leads the rankings of the ADEME (French Environment and Energy Management Agency), with weighted CO2 emissions of vehicles sold in France at 140 g/km. In Europe, PSA Peugeot Citroën sold a million vehicles emitting less than 140 g/km of CO2, of which more than 450,000 emitting less than 120 g/km.

Safety:
. The Citroën C4 Picasso and Peugeot 207 obtain five stars in EuroNCAP tests. . The Citroën C6 receives the Innovation Prize for its active bonnet system, which rises automatically in the event of pedestrian impact.

International:
. Three new vehicles built at the Wuhan site round out the ranges marketed in China by PSA Peugeot Citroën and partner Dong Feng: the Peugeot 206, Citroën C2 and Citroën C-Triomphe. The Group also strengthens its presence in China by starting construction of a second plant in Wuhan, which will double output capacity in 2009. . The Group starts producing the 307 sedan at its Buenos Aires site in Argentina for the Latin American market.

Human Resources:
. The Group signs an international agreement to apply best human resources practices worldwide. This agreement concerns the fostering and respect of human rights and the international application of equal opportunities policy. PSA Peugeot Citroën was a pioneer with this policy in several European countries, notably developing the employment of women and promotion skills diversity. . PSA Peugeot Citroën is awarded the “2006 Grand Prix de la Diversité” by the French government.

Industrial:
. The Group opens a new workshop at its Valenciennes site to manufacture a new generation of 6-speed compact automated gearboxes. . PSA Peugeot Citroën inaugurates its Trnava production site in Slovakia, employing 3,300 people and producing the Peugeot 207 (with a 30,000 vehicles-per-year capacity).
