agreement on development and production of automatic gear boxes.
International: Final agreements are signed on creating a joint venture
to assemble ZX models in China: Dongfeng Citroën Automobile Company
is created. A terminal unit is set up in Wuhan, Hubei province. Mechanical
activities are based in Xiangfan. Peugeot Egypt is created, and industrial
production of the 405 begins at Sevel Argentina.
Training: Inauguration of the Citroën training institute, which
can host 1,000 trainees a day.
Disposal: Peugeot Cycles, an Ecia subsidiary, is sold to Cycleurope.
