PSA Peugeot Citroën opened its first engine machining unit in Brazil on 31 July. The new facility has been incorporated in the Porto Real production centre, which is seeking to change dimension in Latin America.

07/01/2009 - Interim results and partial continuation of the jobs and capabilities redeployment plan
On 2 December 2008, a jobs and capabilities redeployment plan was presented to the PSA Peugeot Citroën Central Works Council against a backdrop of global economic crisis and plummeting demand in the automobile market. The plan called for measures to align non-production staff with business levels through voluntary internal transfers and outplacements based on the previously negotiated human resources planning and development agreement.
07/01/2009 - An ambitious work-study programme for 2009-2010
At a meeting of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Central Works Council, Denis Martin, Executive Vice President Human Resources, announced an ambitious programme to help bring young people into the workforce. By the summer of 2010, PSA Peugeot Citroën intends to sign 2,000 work-study contracts, 2,100 skills-acquisition contracts, 3,000 internship agreements and 200 VIE co-op placements for a total of 7,300 job opportunities for young people.
06/18/2009 - Mechanical Compact Gearbox Production Unit Extended - 30 Millionth Gearbox Produced Unit Extended - 30 Millionth Gearbox Produced
Today was inaugurated the extension of the mechanical compact gearbox production unit at the Valenciennes plant in France’s Nord Pas de Calais region. The ceremony, which was attended by local and regional officials, also provided a opportunity to celebrate the manufacture of the 30 millionth gearbox produced at the Valenciennes site since its opening in 1981.

PSA Peugeot Citroën has been one of the first companies to earn the new Seal of Diversity created by the French government.
01/15/2009 - PSA Peugeot Citroën obtains Diversity Label
AFNOR Certification, the French standardisation organisation, has awarded PSA Peugeot Citroën with the new Label Diversité, recently created by the government. The Group is one of the first companies to obtain this distinction.
