PSA Peugeot Citroën presents new technologies for the cars of tomorrow

PSA Peugeot Citroën will participate in the second “Rencontres pOur l’Automobile de Demain” (ROAD) event on the clean vehicles of tomorrow organised by the French Automotive Engineers Association (SIA) at the Versailles Satory racetrack from May 26 to 28. During the three-day event, the Group will present development paths for broadening its line-up of low-carbon mobility solutions.

PSA Peugeot Citroën engineers will be on hand to explain the latest technological advances for reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by:

  • Optimising engines through downsizing and new technologies.
  • Developing electric powertrains, starting with e-HDi micro-hybrids, hybrids and then pure electric vehicles.

In addition, a special recruitment area will provide students with information on job opportunities and the related skills-sets.

The PSA Peugeot Citroën booth will illustrate the Group's "mobility for everyone" offering through the following three solutions:

  • Micro-hybrid technology, with the Citroën C3 e-HDi.
  • Diesel hybrid technology, with the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 scheduled for launch next fall.
  • Electric mobility, with the Citroën-ZERO, the Peugeot e-VIVACITY electric scooter and the power-assisted bicycle.

To give visitors a hands-on view of environmentally sensitive mobility solutions, Peugeot iOn and Citroën C-ZERO EVs and a power-assisted bicycle will be available for a trial run on the Versailles Satory racetrack.
PSA Peugeot Citroën will also take part in roundtable discussions on:

  • HYbrid4 diesel technology, a solution for Europe.
  • Battery technologies for automobile applications.
  • The low-carbon vehicle’s contribution to mobility and urban living.

These discussions among engineers, automobile industry representatives and students will take place on Friday and Saturday.
