PSA Peugeot Citroën appoints Four Regional Delegates to the Automobile Industry and presents first “Key Supplier Award”

In line with French government initiatives stemming from the January 2009 Automobile Summit and the creation of the Automotive Industry Platform, PSA Peugeot Citroën is stepping up measures to support the automobile industry.

In order to speed and support the supplier park transformation in the regions where it plays an important economic role, PSA Peugeot Citroën has named the following four Regional Delegates to reinforce actions undertaken by the government-appointed “Automobile Representatives” who report to the regional prefects:

  • Didier Carpentier, Brittany, Lower Normandy, Pays de la Loire
  • René Dubois, Ile-de-France, Centre, Upper Normandy, rest of France
  • Bernard Grandel, Nord Pas-de-Calais, Champagne-Ardenne, Picardie, Lorraine
  • François Regimbeau, Franche-Comté, Burgundy, Rhône-Alpes, Alsace

Backed by solid automotive backgrounds and the Group’s size and scope, the representatives will work with different regional stakeholders to actively bolster the French automobile industry.

Coinciding with the appointment of the four representatives, Yannick Bézard, Vice President Purchasing, launched the Key Supplier initiative by awarding the label to SNOP, a major player in France’s automotive stamping segment.
In addition to its 13 strategic suppliers, the Group wishes to recognise and reward key suppliers—midsize companies with international operations that set the standard in their respective fields.

Following the adoption of the Code of Performance and Good Practices in 2008, PSA Peugeot Citroën has focused on reconfiguring and restructuring its supplier relations. In particular, it is broadening deployment of the Supplier Relationship Excellence initiative, introduced in 2009.

The appointment of the Regional Delegates underscores PSA Peugeot Citroën’s commitment to stepping up its efforts and taking concrete steps to bolster the French automobile industry.
