Jean-Luc Vergne, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and a member of the PSA Peugeot Citroën Executive Committee, has informed Christian Streiff, Chairman of the Managing Board, that he has decided to leave the Group.

He will resign as head of Human Resources at the end of February, after leading salary negotiations for 2009 and launching the voluntary separation plan approved by union representatives at the Central Works Council meeting on December 2, 2008.

Before joining PSA Peugeot Citroën in 1999 to head the Human Resources Department, Mr. Vergne previously served as Vice President Human Resources, first at Sanofi, then at Elf Aquitaine.

During his tenure, Mr. Vergne consistently demonstrated a commitment to dialogue and innovation in support of the Group’s social policies, as he negotiated a large number of agreements and helped to transform the carmaker’s culture and employer image.
