Carlos Gomes joins the Group as Senior Vice-President, Latin America

Thursday April 29, 2010, Carlos Gomes, until now Chairman and Managing Director of Fiat France and Chairman and Managing Director of Fiat Spain, joins the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group on 1 July 2010 as Senior Vice-President, Latin America. He replaces Vincent Rambaud, appointed CEO of Peugeot on 2 April.

He will report directly to the Chairman of the Managing Board, Philippe Varin.

Carlos Gomes, age 45, was born in Portugal. He graduated in marketing and management from the ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute and also holds a diploma from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts. He has spent most of his career in the automotive industry, more particularly, at Renault and Fiat, where he occupied a number of management positions, including managing director, France for Alfa Romeo and Fiat, and managing director, Spain. At Fiat, he was also coordinator for the region of France, Spain and Portugal.

Carlos Gomes brings PSA Peugeot Citroën the benefit of his extensive experience in the automotive sector and his strong international culture. He will oversee all the Group’s commercial and industrial activities in Latin America, a key growth region for the Peugeot and Citroën brands.
