In a world that is spinning ever faster, where the codes we live by are constantly evolving and where new inventions are emerging all the time, knowledge is vital. In an industry that has never been so competitive and creative, the PSA Peugeot Citroën group has to promote change and innovation, strengthen its leadership and continue to serve as a referential model. The mission of the PSA Peugeot Citroën University is to ensure that we achieve these objectives.
Wherever we might be based in the world, Sao Paulo, Shanghai or Paris, the Corporate University has been designed to give a core set of knowledge, values and expertise to the Group's workforce. Since it was launched in 2010, the Corporate University has become a major player in our change momentum.
End of 2012 the Corporate University achieved the Corporate Learning Improvement Process (CLIP) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). It has now joined the group of distinguished corporate universities including companies such as Volkswagen, Siemens, STMicroelectronics, Allianz, GDF Suez, EDF and Cap Gemini.
The CLIP accreditation is an internationally acclaimed quality award to the most innovative corporate universities. Thanks to the CLIP organizational scheme and the network that can thus be accessed, this award has proven a unique opportunity for the Corporate University designed to obtain an insight into the best practices on the market. The three-year CLIP accreditation award is a powerful on-going enhancement tool that can be associated with any type of knowledge acquisition mode.
The training modules designed by the Corporate University aim for excellence in line with four major missions: professional training of Group employees; management; transmission of corporate values; and induction of newcomers to the Company.
The Corporate University promotes three types of training programmes:
The objective of the Corporate University is to build an extended university whose links with the world's finest educational establishments will help us to attract the best talents. This notion of an extended university depends upon lasting relationships with academic establishments and upon setting up laboratories and teaching and research chairs with the support of the Group's Research & Development Department.
The contributions of the chairs in terms of inputs and knowledge will broaden our fields of expertise and promote their integration into our future projects. This has of course a tremendous impact on the Group's ability to innovate in line with this necessary 'step ahead' that will allow us to rank among the best-performing carmakers in the world.
The Corporate University today maintains targeted relationships with more than thirty engineering schools, universities and business schools around the world.
