A year and a half after its creation, the PSA Peugeot Citroën Foundation "A World on the Move" has published its first Annual Report, which presents an initial review of its activities over the period. It illustrates the wealth and diversity of projects it supports to encourage sustainable, socially responsible mobility.
For Foundation Chairman Philippe Varin, "it is not a case of pitting financial performance on the one hand against social responsibility on the other, or business against the greater good. By strengthening one, we nurture the other. In these particularly challenging times, I think that it is even more urgent for us to take firm action to support the development of local projects for the good of all."
Founded in May 2011, the foundation builds on a long list of initiatives to promote mobility for all.
Our corporate foundation's mission is to support social, educational, cultural and environmental projects related to mobility, because mobility is an essential factor in access to education, culture, healthcare and employment, keeping in mind the need to preserve our planet's resources.
Backed by a dedicated team, a board of directors and a selection committee, our foundation is always ready to consider new projects. It makes a final selection every two months. So far, more than 50 projects have received support.
Our foundation is intended to play a worldwide role, with a preference for projects in our host regions. To do this, it leverages our employees’ involvement by sponsoring volunteer-based projects and initiatives. Both individually and collectively, the foundation helps bring non-profit associations and business together to serve the greater good.
