Stay a step ahead and move our model ranges upmarket

The strategy to move our model ranges upmarket is a source of both higher margins and renewed appeal for the Peugeot and Citroën brands. It is driven by ground-breaking design, as demonstrated by the market success of the Citroën DS line and the Peugeot RCZ, as well as by the development of innovative, mobility services such as Mu by Peugeot and Citroën Multicity. This strategy is also supported by superior environmental performance, with the deployment of leading-edge technologies for conventional, electric and hybrid powertrains that provide an effective response for all mobility needs.

Become a global group

Emerging markets are the primary growth drivers in the automobile industry today. To respond effectively to this growth and to new mobility needs, PSA Peugeot Citroën is pursuing a global development strategy with vehicles and subassemblies designed for each market with the technological and manufacturing support of local companies. With nearly 40,000 employees outside Europe, the Group is scaling up to achieve the market share and brand image needed to be a major player in each of its priority growth regions.

Set the industry benchmark in operating efficiency

Excellence only has meaning if it is combined with performance at all levels of the company. PSA Peugeot Citroën deploys an excellence system in all of its production facilities, its supplier relations and its sales and marketing strategy to encourage top performance from all of its team members in units designed for efficiency. This system is designed to lift the Group to the highest level, in terms of both product and service quality and of profitability. The performance plan presented in November 2009 will allow the Group to achieve total savings of €3.3 billion and significantly improve its margins.

Ensure responsible development

Deeply aware of the automobile industry's challenges, PSA Peugeot Citroën has made responsible development a key part of its strategy and taken an active role in sustainable mobility. The Group's social and environmental responsibility broadens its scope beyond cars, leading it to take part in its host communities, notably through its corporate foundation. To foster social cohesion, the Group deploys a human resources policy that promotes personal growth and development.
