Gaining experience with PSA Peugeot Citroën

Young graduates of business schools and universities at one of our career fairs

PSA Peugeot Citroën is keen to give students real opportunities to experience the workplace, through internships and apprenticeships, or as international volunteers with the VIE programme. A real springboard for students.

Reflecting its strong commitment to young people, the PSA Peugeot Citroën group is currently supporting some 2,400 students and international volunteers in their studies or vocational training through the programmes below.

In 2013, our policy must be tailored to the economic context and reflect the current employment situation within the Group. For this reason, we can offer only a limited number of places for work-study placements, internships and the international volunteer programme.

Internships: immersion in our business activities

A corporate internship is a key stage in the education of students at secondary school or university. An internship with PSA Peugeot Citroën will develop your technical and behavioural skills.

An internship is a period of practical training within an educational programme. It will bring you new knowledge and skills that will help you succeed fully, both in your education and in your future working life.

Work-study contracts: recognised professional experience through:

  • Apprenticeship contracts. Aimed at young people aged between 16 and 25, this type of contract aims to provide general, theoretical and practical training, enabling participants to obtain a professional qualification in the form of a vocational or technical diploma or an engineering title.
  • Vocational training contracts. Aimed at young people aged between 16 and 25, work seekers aged 26 or over, and beneficiaries of specific state allowances or contracts, this type of contract enables participants to obtain a professional qualification that will help them enter, or return to, the workplace. Within the Group, this type of contract mainly concerns vocational qualification certificates (CQPs)

Through the work-study approach, you gain recognised professional experience that will serve you well in your future job-seeking endeavours in any sphere of activity: sales and marketing, R&D, management, finance, information systems, etc.

Relations with schools

For many years, the PSA Peugeot Citroën group has maintained links with the schools, universities and training centres with which our sites and production centres work. In 2013, we are pursuing these partnerships and cultivating close links with the majority of educational organisations linked to the automotive industry.

To this end, we are relying on a network of 135 campus partners, former students from our partner schools and now employees of the PSA Peugeot Citroën group.
